bio
Angela started taking pictures in middle school with a 110 camera her parents bought her for a field trip to Washington, D.C. She carried that camera everywhere, sending the film off for processing using the mail-order envelopes from the Sunday paper. Boredom, curiosity, and several cameras and years later have combined to create an eclectic collection of work with a faint hint of humor and underlying weirdness. She tends to explore comfort levels.
Angela contributed a weekly photography post for the Smithsonian Studio Arts blog from 2009 through 2013, was an arts writer for DCist, wrote for and edited the FotoWeek DC blog through five festivals, and has written for the Examiner
